Essential oils have been used for therapeutic and holistic health purposes throughout history to stimulate healing and enhance overall wellness. When incorporated into a yoga and meditation practice, essential oils can not only relieve stress and anxiety but can elevate awareness and enhance your mental and emotional well-being. This workshop will include an introduction to use of essential oils and an explanation of the benefits of specific oils used throughout the class. The oils will be used throughout the practice and session via diffused aroma, internally by adding to water, and through application to the body.
The yoga play practice – Morning Session
Explore different yoga postures and movements that are proven to be effective in relieving stress and enhancing well-being both mentally and emotionally. Included will be an all-levels gentle vinyasa flow featuring heart and hip openers, as well as deep forward folds to increase energy and calm the mind. The application of oils will be used throughout the class to assist in emotional healing – releasing stagnant energy, feelings or blockages. The combination of oils and yoga provide a cathartic experience to create emotional balance. Featured oils will be presented by Meaghan Parent – do TERRA Wellness Advocate and Aromatherapy specialist. The yoga class will be facilitated by Jai Kai.
The understanding and application of essential oils – Afternoon Session
Discover and explore a variety of different essential oils that are proven to be effective in relieving stress and enhancing vitality, strength and emotional well-being. A brief history, description and usage of essential oils will be given, including the application of oils both internally and externally for specific conditions. Specific restorative healing yoga postures with the combination of oils will be given to help rejuvenate the mind and body. By applying essential oils with the right knowledge, you will be given a dynamic tool for self-care and a way to further serve your family, friends, community, and patients. Featured oils and information will be presented by Meaghan Parent – do TERRA Wellness Advocate and Aromatherapy specialist.
The Aroma Yoga workshop is for yoga students, yoga teachers and anyone wishing to enhance their wellness by incorporating aromatherapy.
