Here are some highlights of the Course & Retreat on The Big Island of Hawaii:
2 Yoga Classes Daily – Morning Hatha/Flow Yoga and evening Yin
Zen walks along the ocean and sunrise meditations
Visiting local and organic markets and/or farms where we source our food
Hands on food preparation and cooking based on Ayurveda and Indian cuisine
Sacred journey and sight-seeing with local Hawaiian Shaman
Beach time and/or swim or viewing the dolphins
This Ayurveda and Yoga retreat is designed for interested participants and holistic health practitioners who would like to learn and explore Ayurveda nutrition, food preparation,Indian cooking and Ayurvedic wellness.

Ayurveda forms the necessities and foundation for a healthy, natural and balanced way of living. Ayurveda promotes longevity and prevents illness, allowing one to develop their highest potential.
This certified training course is through the Sacred Seed Yoga & Ayurveda College. All levels are welcome.
Immerse yourself in a healing and rejuvenating yoga retreat where you will learn about – Ayurveda, specifically related to nutrition and specific foods used in Ayurveda for enhancing vigor, vitality and health.
We will create an environment for Sattvic living – a lifestyle for harmony, inner peace and healing.
All course graduates will receive a 30 hour Ayurveda Nutrition cooking certificate from the Sacred Seed Yoga & Ayurveda College.
Program Outline (30 hr certification course):
Foundational of Ayurvedic Principles: Includes the five element theory, the tridosha theory, the seven dhatus, soma, agni, ama, and ojas. Each participant will also explore their own constitution and will learn to integrate these principles.
Foundation of Ayurvedic Nutrition: Ayurvedic diet and nutritional concepts will be explored in this course for the purposes of health and well-being. The use of specific diet & herbs will also be explored to support the healing process.
Ayurvedic Food Preparation and Cooking: A variety of cooking techniques and meal preparations will be learned and integrated. Participants will learn how to adapt specific foods toward the specific needs of each individual according to their dosha or constitution.
Energy Management, Meditation & Yoga Nidra: Visualiazations, concentration & meditation techniques will be explored to release samskaras (negative thoughts, emotions & pictures) and create a balanced state of Sattvic energy. Students will learn how to turn their attention inward and explore and heal both their gross and subtle bodies.
